Prior the Revolutionary War, he was a modest commercial farmer, but he also served an 8-year stint with the British military in the French and Indian War. It was during this time he learned three key things from the Cherokee Indians: the value of the long gun against short-range muskets; use of the environment for cover and concealment; and the art of the ambush when faced with a larger, better-provisioned enemy. Historically, warriors like Marion would have appreciated the clarity and durability found now in Swampfox Optics products.
